If I have a TPA in place and my STBX picks up my child from school and takes him to his house (purposely and maliciously when he is not allowed to ) . When I call the police and show them my court order, do the police just make him turn her over to me or will he actually be arrested. Obviously I would file a contempt but wondering if the police will do anything against him as well in the moment.
The police will enforce the order as it’s written. It’s unlikely that they would arrest him unless he still refuses to follow the order, or escalates the situation in some way.
