Ok, I just filed for my absolute divorce today. The court appearance date is September 16. Why would it take that long? Is there any way I can get much closer date? I was expecting to be divorced within the next month and a half at the most. I DO NOT want to wait until September.
It may be that the docket is full until then. I would suggest contacting the clerk to try and get an earlier date.
