My estranged husband is threatening to get a Writ of Possession and take the property we are negotiating in our separation agreement. One item is a car that I paid for, but is registered in his name. Is he able to do this? What action can I take to prevent?
So long as the car is marital property he cannot take the same away from you absent an order of the court in an equitable distribution case.
Define “marital property”. Something we purchased while married?
Martial property is any property acquired during the marriage and before the date of separation.
