Abandonment

Dear zygo44:

Greetings. Child support is based on the number of overnights each child spends with each parent. Check our child support guidelines and use the amount of days (including overnights) which each of you has custodial time with the children. The guidelines are the presumed amount of child support in North Carolina. Best of luck.

My wife left our residence and moved out on her own. She left both of our children with me. The children only go to her house at night when I work. She now wants child support, would I have to pay since she left the kids and she only watches them at night. Thank you!
