Appeals are to check for errors of procedure, meeaning what was done during the trial. Only judges an attorneys meet, there is some lenght to determine if the appeal upheld or dismiss. Sure you need to have attorney, if you feel that you may loose what you won in the beginning.

MY EX-HUSBAND HAS APPEALED THE PROPERTY SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT. WHEN THE JUDGE HANDED DOWN HIS DECISION HE STATED THAT ANYONE THAT WAS NOT HAPPY WITH HIS DECISION HAD THE RIGHT TO APPEAL TO A HIGHER COURT.
