Can an ex just not pay Alimony/CS

I was notified that my ex was laid off 2 weeks ago - He pays me Alimony and Child Support on the 15th and 31th - well I guess he has decided to stop paying support. He was with the same company for 30 years and had a very high level job. I am sure he got a very nice severence package - What do I need to get him to pay me something? Can he just not pay me anything?

You need to file a breach of contract action if support is outlined in a Separation Agreement, or a motion for contempt if support is outlined in an order. Absent a specific provision in either document allowing him to stop paying support upon a job loss, he is still bound to pay.
