Child Support

Gross income is supposed to be based on total income from all sources including rental properties, bonuses etc. Normally it is done based on most recent tax return, check stubs etc and is not self-reported.

Yes bonuses and overtime are considered in your gross income for child support income. The court will generally look at the last several years and try to average these expenses.

I have a question regarding child support. When considering the amount of child support to be paid out, I realize there are many factors such as income, visitation, etc. In regards to a persons income, let’s say one spouse makes a base salary of $70K per year but also gets huge bonuses based on their performance during the year. Does that bonus money get calculated in the overall income for that spouse?

Does the same apply for overtime? Or is it based soley on the base income?
