I wanted to ask you about conservatorship for a handicapped child that is turning 18? What are the pros and cons with getting joint with an ex-spouse that has not been cooperative for years? Are there additional costs per month or upfront fees for this? Will it lock me into more money as I am already paying 25% of my pay now plus the child has a trust.
I know the CS will end for that child, but will there be other monies that I will have to pay having joint with my exspouse. I guess what I am asking is it is best to keep it simple and keep it as it is now or are there more benefits with having joint. We do not live in the same state.
