Discrepency in Wake Co. D-I-Y Instructions?

Dear bug11:

Greetings. Thank you for pointing this out to me. Do it yourself divorces are on Fridays. Since the holidays are coming, I believe that the last day for divorce in December will be December 11, 2004. Good luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

I’m looking for clarification for the following on the the Wake County Do-It-Yourself Instructions page (rosen.com/ppf/ID/61/issues.asp):

Under 6a. Directions for NOTICE OF DIVORCE HEARING –

#3 says that “All Do-It-Yourself (self-help) divorce hearings take place on Fridays in Wake County.”

But then #4 says “Once you have determined the date of your hearing (be sure it is a Thursday), write it in blank #7 at the bottom of the NOTICE OF DIVORCE HEARING.”

Should the reminder in #4 say to be sure that the day is a Friday, instead of Thursday?

Thanks in advance.
