Do it yourself divorce - Question about County

Sure you can. They should work all across the state. I stumbled across a website the other day that is charging $100 for the forms we are providing for free. The clerk of court in many counties provide these same forms for the cost of the copies. Divorce is expensive enough without being charged for documents that are otherwise available for free.

Good luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

It’s getting about that time to file for divorce since we’ve been separated for 11 months. I would like to prepare the paperwork myself because I am unable to afford an attorney. I currently live in Granville County and my spouse lives in Wake County. Can I use the Do-It-Yourself forms provided on the website for Granville County or only Wake County?
