We know I get one vehicle and she gets the other one. When can we have the titles changed to reflect ownership and each of us get separate insurance and be responsible for any repairs?
You can do this at any time; the title change will simply require the seller’s signature to be notarized. If you plan to execute a separation agreement, be sure to include language about the title change, and when each of you will be responsible for all payments associated with the respective vehicles.
