Garnishing and employer

#1

I am already paying a child support for years and never have a late payment. My ex applied for medicate and she does not work. Now the state wants to garnish my wages for the child support amount in order to keep her medicate , and making sure that she is getting the child support money. My ex did not request this at all - in matter of fact she is against it… They say it’s the state law. And When it happen :.

- Does garnishing my wage through a court order for child support , will make me look bad to my employer and manager.?

 • Is it become a public record.?

Any court order, unless sealed is accessible to the public. Wage garnishment is common place, though I cannot speak to your employer’s personal views or opinions on the issue.
