My separation papers state
I can go back to using my maiden name during separation period
Papers are only signed by a notary not a judge
How do I go about getting my name legally changed before divorce.
You cannot resume your maiden name during the separation period. This can only be granted in the absolute divorce judgment.
In your complaint for absolute divorce, be sure to include that you wish to resume your maiden name and state what your full maiden name is (first, middle, and last names).
