Hi, I was wondering if I can GPS my spouses vehicle? It is in his name only but it is marital property, right? We’ve been married for many years and I know something is going on. Just want to be sure.
While there is no statutory or case law that states placing a GPS device on a spouse’s car, even if it is marital property, is illegal, there could be claims against you by your spouse for trespass or invasion of privacy. It is probably best to not use a GPS device but rather hire a private investigator instead.
