I believe that alienation of affection does not have to be an affair. It is basically someone who takes your spouse’s affection from you. It could be a friend telling her to leave, or an internet chat taking her affections away.

Greetings. Yes, anyone that alienates your spouse’s love and affection from you is liable for an alienation of affection lawsuit, but since they are so expensive generally, you may want to be sure that you have a financially sound target.
Remember that although you are angry, the true person you are angry at is your spouse. People that file alienation of affection lawsuits rarely get the satisfaction they are looking for, even if they do win some financial recovery. Thank you.

I am now trying to get out on my own and get seperated from my wife. I think that I may have a case of Alienation of Affection but am unsure.

I think that some people in online chat sessions helped cause my wife to withdrawl here affection for me. Either through cybersex or other chat.
Does this still count as Alienation of Affection? Or does this only count if there is a physical affair?
