Hey there!! I am a 48 year old woman who is not sure who my father is…and I would really like to know. Is there a time limit on having someone do a paternity test? Could I take the individual that my Mom claims to be my father to court and have him take a mandatory paternity test? I don’t want anything from him, I just want to know and feel I have the right to know.
You cannot take the alleged father to court to force him to take a paternity test. This could only have happened while you were still a minor child and your mother was attempting to establish child support.
