Relocation With Sole Custody (Legal and Physical)

If you move back to the state he may go to court to request more visitation. If you live close together the court may grant him that additional time with the child.

There is no way to plan for every contingency that may come up in the future regarding custody. It is possible that if you move back he may increase his visitation and object if you attempt to move again, unfortunately there is nothing you can do now that will prevent that from happening.

I got permission to move from the father of my child. I have been living with my husband and the minor child outside of NC for 2 years. We wanted to move back to NC as a temp. move how can I keep the visitaion the same as it is now with being in the same state. The visitation now is he gets him for a week in the summer and for Thanksgiving Break.

If we do move back to NC will I have to get permission again to move back out of the state or can he keep us from moving.
