Sale of car to pay child support or alimony

If I have a car payment and am being asked to pay child support, and potentially alimony, can I be forced to sell my car to make these payments or is the monthly payment for the car included in the calculation for how much “leftover” money I have each month to put towards these expenses?

Your car payment, unless unreasonably exorbitant will be accounted for as a reasonable expense for purposes of determining alimony and your ability to pay. Child support is based on the incomes (not expenses) of the parties.
