Sep/divorce

Unfortunately, there aren’t too many attorneys who would take such a case pro bono. However, you should check with legal services in your area, and contact the North Carolina Bar Association to find out which attorneys do pro bono work in the state. Also, you might want to check with any of the law schools that are close to your area. Many have legal clinics that are staffed by third year law students and practicing attorneys.

Good luck,

I am seeking help in trying to find an attorney to help me with the process of a sep/div…My husband of 17 yrs is living with his g/f that he has been dating and seeing for a year…And I can not afford an attorney getting money from him is like pulling teeth…I can not get just the plain simple divorce were we both walk away… I need to get part the military retirement he has coming in Monthly, alimony and child support. He feels the part retirement is part of alimony and even feels after 17 yrs that I don’t deserve it…Like I told him he was not the only one in the 17 yr marriage that I had many a times had to pick him up and encourage him to go on.

Is there anyone out there that knows how I can get legal help Pro Bono etc etc… I need to get out of this mess before it tears me up anymore…Basically I am a low income family here…
