My husband has been abusive and earlier this year I filed for a protective order and then dropped it because he advised we would go to counseling. We never had any counseling and now we’re preparing for a seperation. He is really angry and upset about it. I know he is going to do anything to make my life very, very difficult. He is demanding things in the seperation agreement that I do not agree to but I feel like I must agree to get him to move out. Is Seperation agreements legal binding?
Absolutely, and do not sign it unless you willing to stand by it.
You should not agree to anything you are not comfortable with, as a Separation Agreement cannot be taken back, it is binding once signed.
