My husband and I have been very cordial throughout this entire process.We just seperated about a month ago. I want to do a seperation agreement to have written in words a few things. Do I have to file this agreement with the court or just have it notorized? I am unsure what to do next. We are trying not to have to get lawyers involved until/unless we need it.
Separations Agreements are not filed. They are binding and enforceable contracts once executed by both parties before a notary public.
