Taking pictures of text message from apple watch

My wife is in illicit relationship. I just want to clarify if it’s illegal to taking pictures of her texts exchange with paramour? Herphone itself is password protected but the apple watch, I guess she is using same password that she uses for ipad that my kido playing game, even kids knows the password. She uses only two or three passwords through out everything. That password(ipad and iphone watch as I guess) is a part of password combination on our jointly gmail account as well (she is primary but I use this email since we married I usually pay bills through this email account) Just wonder if it’s illegal to take pictures of text from her iphone watch without her permission? Is it admissible?

You can take pictures of the text messages from the Apple watch or other device, even if it is password protected, if she has previously given you the password. If you know the password, then she has previously shared this information. If she wanted to revoke this consent to you, then she could change the password.

You cannot hack into her devices or otherwise try to circumvent or bypass knowing the password.

She never shared password for this particular device with me but I just assume that because it s part of the password combination that she uses on everything. Usually 8 digits but 4 digits from it. I did not do any action yet but just want to make sure before I move
Thanks

If you are assuming (i.e. guessing) at the password and she has not specifically shared this with you at any time in the past, then the safer option would be not to access this device. Your better evidence of your wife having an affair will be from a private investigator rather than text messages.
