Wake County COMPLAINT doc (out of state Plaintiff)

According to the standard Wake County COMPLAINT document, I am attesting that:
“1. That the Plaintiff is a citizen and resident of WAKE County, North Carolina, and has been a citizen and resident of WAKE County, North Carolina for more than (6) six months next preceding the commencement of this action.”

If I am the one filing, but I no longer live in NC (and haven’t for over a year), can I even legally file in Wake County? She still lives there. I lived in NC from 2005-2010.

Thanks in advance.

Justin

Yes, you can file in Wake County if she lives here.

Would I have to change the verbiage on the complaint to reflect my current county/State?
