Wife leaves house that has mortgage

Question if wife leaves house and we pay a mortgage together then move out and Lease another house is that considered abandonment

No, this is not necessarily abandonment simply because one spouse moves out and leases a new residence.

Abandonment occurs when one spouse moves out of the marital residence (1) without justification, (2) without the consent of the other spouse, and (3) without the intent of renewing the cohabitation.
