My wife had an affair with the same guy for 9 months. We have been married for 11yrs and will continue to stay married. We lived in North Carolina for 6 yrs. The guy and his wife live in Virginia. I want to know if his wife found out can she sue my wife for Alienation of Affection. With the whole affair being in North Carolina.

If the acts causing the alienation of affection took place in North Carolina, it’s possible that the wife could sue your wife for the claim of alienation of affection in North Carolina.

Thank you for the previous response.
I was wondering about my umbrella insurance policy if it covers being sued for Alienation of Affection or Criminal conversation in stated of North Carolina? I did find a ruling by the state of South Dakota Supreme count that sided with the insurance company that its would NOT be cover under the umbrella policy, but nothing about any other states.

You would need to check your insurance policy or check with your insurance agent.
