I’ve only been married for four months. When I married my husband it was because he pressured me into going ahead that day and driving to the Justice of the Peace in a nearby County. He was and is verbally abusive and scared me into thinking that I would lose him ( he was living in another state with his parents at this time and had returned to NC for Court on a childsupport matter)if we did not go and get married. He made promises that he had changed and that things would be different and they most certainly are not. I remember the Friday afternoon that we went to get the License…I was at work and he was calling me and complaining that I was not leaving work in time to go by before they closed. Truth is I wanted the Register of Deeds to be closed. Is an Annulment posible for me in this situation?
