Change of Venue in NC Divorce/Property Only Action

If this is strictly a divorce and property distribution case and I file in Cumberland as the plantiff (she lives in Moore). Once she is served, if I relocate…can the venue still be changed or will it still be heard in Cumberland if we go to trial? I would rather the venue not change as my attorney thinks we are better off in Cumberland.

Once you file a complaint, it is very unlikely for venue to change while a case is pending and unresolved even if all parties have since moved out of the county.
