In a child support case and all cases arising concerning that child, if the custodial parent is working at the courthouse in which the cases are being heard, what is the likelihood of the non-custodial parent being granted a change of venue? The custodial parent is called by one of the court officials before the case is to be heard, so that no work is missed, but the non-custodial parent has to miss quite possibly all day’s work waiting for the case to be heard.[V] Also the custodial parent’s father is a prominent figure in the county and has been friends with the judge for years.
