Motion to request alimony

A littlr background:

I have been a dependent spouse for >25 years. I have filed for disabilty (both physical and mental) and am awaiting a decision. My ex had an affair 3 years ago and walked out (and came back ajd left and came back and left, etc). In Sept 2023, he ultimately called police and had me arrested. He then took out a 50B against me, rendering me homeless. He has refused ALL spousal support since.

I cannot afford an attorney. I have found a sample motion to request alimony on your website and have used that to draft a motion pertinent to my situation. Id like an attorney to review this before i file it. How do i go about this?

You can schedule a consultation for a lawyer to review what you have drafted and provide feedback.

You may also need to include a claim for equitable distribution is there is any marital property that you want or want half the value of (for example, a house purchased during the marriage).

You may also find our Rosen Online service to be helpful. You have access to a library of forms and a lawyer to answer your questions about any court filings or other parts of the separation and divorce process. It is only $199/month and could be a good option instead of spending thousands hiring a lawyer.
