Problems with CP!

Dear Kay:

Greetings. You need to speak with the attorney that runs the child support enforcement agency in your county. Have you done that? I would also try to talk to your case worker in the county you live in…that may be the easiest way for you to get help. Best of luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

Kay:

Also, make sure they garnish his wages the next time. That works best.

Hi:
I am having a lot of problems receiving child support. My ex. refuses to go by the court order. He splits up his payments monthly. He is now behind 2-1/2 months child support. The monies are send to the child enforcement in Raleigh and then I get the check. I have inquired with the child support (clerk of court) here in my county, I was told that I need to get my private attorney to do something about this. This is just more money out of my pocket. I though the state was suppose to take him to court for not paying. Am I wrong? Would you know with whom I can address this issue with, other than the clerk of court office in my county. I have already spoke with a person in the child enforcement office in Raleigh, I was told that they only mail checks as the support is paid. I was told that they don’t have any court orders, that they don’t even know the parent paying child support is behind. Does this make any sense?

Thanks for any advise.
