If property was deeded during the marriage to the spouse but no money was involved by buying it and it was deeded from the spouses family to my spouse would this be part of the ED? Such as land that was deeded to my spouse during the marriage does this become marital property or can it be argued that it was inherited so it can not be part of the ED?
If your spouse received the property from their family as a gift to them individually the property is separate and not part of the marital estate.
