Punishment Domestic Criminal Trespass-Court 6/22

Dear apjones:

Greetings. Talk to the police about stalking also, but no, the punishment is not likely to force him to leave you alone. I recommend that you speak with a criminal attorney though. Good luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

I have filed a complaint against my STBX for domestic criminal trespass. We go to court this Thursday. He was found on my property by my real estate agent. She called me and I called the police, who picked him up off my property. BUT they made me file the charges since we are still legally married. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TYPICAL PUNISHMENT FOR THIS CRIME? Will he be forced to finally leave me alone? I have tried 3 times to get a DVPO and cannot, but he continues to bother me after every court date.
