Schedule court date

#1

I just went for calendar call to get my court date. The case scheduled the day before my case is scheduled is listed as Continuing Order: Peremptory Setting. What exactly does that mean?

Trying to figure out if there is a long case ahead of mine because I want my case heard soon.

Peremptory Setting means that the case has priority to be heard first before other cases on the calendar.
