any news, good or bad?

As I indicated before, your best bet is to at least consult with an attorney, you may be looking at paying considerably more money if you don’t consult with a lawyer.

Thanks Helena M. Nevicosi for your advise. Can’t afford an attorney. . . probably will not ever be able too. I am curious though, how does one go about changing laws? What can we little people do to change the laws regarding father’s rights? I want to see my daughter but I know I probably never will, no matter what a court orders, it is only a piece of paper, hardly enforcable with her doing dissappearing acts. Apparently I just pay some of her bills now, I am not her father. The LAWS are WRONG!

The best place to start is with a letter to your state representative detailing the problem. Many laws are changed because of community based initiatives to do so. If you can show a representative that you have support for your proposed change, they may be more likely to listen to you. I wish you the best of luck in your quest for visitation.

I went to see the Child Support Enforcment Worker who rudely told me she would see me in court tommorrow morning and if I didn’t have my finances for her that they would award support in the amount based on my old job, (which is much higher than what I am making now, self employed, my gf and I are working hard to build a business) All of our extra money after living expenses, goes right back into the business. Now what? Since the business is half my gf’s, do I only show “my” half or the whole? Can she do this without a judgement from a judge? She said it had to show that I was atleast making minimum wage! Which anyone that is working hard building their own business, knows, if you really paid yourself by the hour, you would never make enough money for it to equal minumum wage. Please advise me or tell me how much you charge? And if you take a payment plan? Oh yea, and she refused to tell me the whereabouts of my daughter. She said she didn’t have too! The certified letter, responding to this civil case, which I sent to the address on the civil filing, came back as undeliverable as well. So, now, I have to pay child support, possibly 12 years arrearges for a child I was told was not mine, and I have no hopes of ever even meeting! This system is a joke! Where is the justice? The child doesn’t know me as her father from what I have heard, she only knows the creep step-father who is a convicted child molester as Daddy!
