Emergency Contact Info

My ex-husband and I still live about 10 minutes from each other. When either of us needs a babysitter, we are the other’s first choice. Very good so far. However, when I cannot watch our daughter and he gets a babysitter, he refuses to give me the phone numbers or names of these individuals stating, “They don’t want you to know who they are.” I have serious concerns with that. Do I indeed have the right to know who is watching my child and to also have a phone numbe with which to reach them if I need to? How can I force him to give me this information? Thank you.

Your husband is entitled to chose child care providers when your child is in is care, however I do not think it is unreasonable for you to know who these people are. Does your agreement say anything about information sharing?
